To successfully deliver a typical project in this senior role, the following skill set will be required:
Experience must include 4+ years in the following: CA Erwin or Embarcadero preferably used as the metadata source for import into Cognos Framework Manager. Additional experience should include use of Cognos Business Intelligence tools - Cognos 8 BI or ReportNet, Metrics Studio/Manager, and Analysis Studio/Transformer or PowerPlay.
Have 5+ years of experience as an IT consultant, business/technical analyst, DBA or BI data modeler
- Ability to work with business users and sponsors to gather requirements and interpret these requirements into technical specifications
- An in-depth understanding of the Data Warehousing Life Cycle data modeling concept and principles
- Ability to create a project plan to deliver on these requirements
- Must have an in-depth understanding of dimensional modeling concepts
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team to develop the required solution
- Provide hands-on data modeling / development support for a variety of assignments and have a quick grasp of new business environments
- Experience with storing metadata/data dictionaries within formal modeling tool
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills will be required for customer and team interaction
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time (home on weekends)

- Take pride in responsibly delivering quality products on-time and solving business problems creatively
- Must have in-depth experience on at least one major RDBMS platform – DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Must have an understanding of ETL tools, preferably with Informatica, DataStage, or Cognos Data Manager/DecisionStream
Required Experience:
Education: B.S. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent plus 4 years experience in job as a Consultant, Business/Technical Analyst, Database Administration, Business Intelligence Modeler or related IT position; Strong business acumen highly desirable.
Experience should also include Cognos 8 BI or ReportNet experience
